About Danya L. Vanhook Experience Danya Ledford Vanhook is an attorney with eight years of legal experience in many areas of the law.  Most recently, Danya served as a District Court Judge in the 30th Judicial District in North Carolina.  Danya has also served as a Department of Social Services attorney for Buncombe and Graham Counties and as a Clifton Everett Fellow with Legal Aid of North Carolina. Danya is an effective advocate for her clients.  Background Danya is a native of Macon County, North Carolina, and a graduate of Franklin High School.  Danya graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with Distinction in 2000 and from New York University School of Law in 2003, where she was a member of the Moot Court Board.  Areas of Practice (Legal) Danya is available to handle the following types of legal matters: civil, criminal, traffic, juvenile, DSS, child support, and domestic (including equitable distribution, divorce, and child custody). Areas of Practice (Geographical) Danya is available to handle legal matters in the following counties in North Carolina: Haywood, Jackson, Macon, Swain, Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Buncombe, and the Cherokee Tribal Court.
