MR. SHUTTLEWORTH is a smart. Mr. Shuttleworth is a smart, experienced and aggressive criminal attorney, who has litigated thousands of cases throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He attained a B.S. degree in Business Administration at the LeBow College of Business of Drexel University in 2000. In 2004, he received a Juris Doctor from the James E. Beasley School of Law of Temple University. He served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Joseph A. Dych in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas before opening Shuttleworth Law, LLC in Center City Philadelphia in 2006. Mr. Shuttleworth joined Alva & Shuttleworth, LLC (formerly Alva & Associates) in 2009. Admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the Supreme Court of New Jersey, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Mr. Shuttleworth is proud to serve a broad client base throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is currently the Chair of the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association (serving as an elected board member from 2013 through 2015). He has worn many hats within the Philadelphia Bar Association. In 2009, he served as the Treasurer of the Criminal Justice Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association. In 2010, he served as the Chair-elect of the Criminal Justice Section, and he served as the Chair in 2011. Mr. Shuttleworth is a former member of the Philadelphia Bar Associations Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention, and has served as an appointed member to the investigation division of the Commission. He is an active member of the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and participates on its Criminal Procedural Rules Committee. Finally, Mr. Shuttleworth has been designated by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers as a "Rising Star" in 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
